All About Cabbage Patch Pre-School
Cabbage Patch Pre-School is a part of Cabbage Patch Day Nursery.
The nursery is a warm, family run setting which first opened in Bangor in 1992. Our newest site on the Ballycrochan road opened in September 2013.
We are members of Early Years the organisation for young children,
registered by Social Services and open five days per week.
Cabbage Patch pre-school unit provides the highest quality professional early years education for every child in its care, within a stimulating, happy and safe home from home environment. The children have opportunities to develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually through the implementation of a carefully planned programme based on the “learning through play” principle. There is an extensive range of appropriate play materials and equipment to assist with the programme planned within the six areas of learning outlined in the Curricular Guidance for Pre-school Education (DENI)
· The Arts
· Language Development
· Early Mathematical Experiences
· Personal, Social and Emotional Development
· Physical Development and Movement
· The World Around Us
Cabbage Patch provides children opportunities to be physical, be quiet, explore the natural environment, look at books, listen to stories and write, build with construction materials, take part in pretend play in secluded places and engage in activities that will strengthen their whole body. We strongly believe that children’s learning should be challenged as they develop their own ideas and use open-ended resources.
